Ken Bland averaged 236.67 en route to win the 1st Memorial Christian Laurent and got the Lion's share of the prize money.The American earned 3,000 out of the 7,250 Euros offered at Bowling des Bassins in Mons, Belgium.
Bland, who is organizing the Pizza Bowl Shootout in SHAPE in July, had games of 258, 258, 210, 232, 227 and 235 for a 1420, six-game total. Marc Beaufays received 60 pins handicap to finish second at 1404, with Chris Van Damme third at 1394. Estelle Ashman posted the highest scratch total of 1241 to win the women's division with 1331, worth 400 Euro.
