Chris Black Wins Michigan Junior Masters |

Port Clinton's Chris Black continued his outstanding bowling by winning the Michigan Junior Masters Jackson Open at Airport Lanes in Jackson, Mi. Saturday and Sunday.
Chris qualified 3rd Saturday with an 8 game total of 1596 on a difficult short oil 'Sport' sanctioned lane condition.
On Sunday he won 9 out of 12 head to head matchplay games to qualify 2nd for the stepladder finals.
Chris defeated Kevin Kowalski from Bay City, Mi. in the semifinal game 232-187, and defeated tournament leader Cory Hines from Jackson, Mi. in the Championship game 202-188.
Chris won a $400.00 scholarship and averaged 197.1 for 22 games over the 2 day tournament. Chris won his 2nd MJMA Title, as he won the Youth/Youth Doubles in 2004 with Eric Selzer from Brunswick. Chris also owns 2 JTBA Titles in Ohio.
In his last 6 previous MJMA and JTBA tournaments, Chris has finishes of 1/2nd, 3/3rds, 1/9th, and 1/10th.
